Sunday's sermon, "Another in the fire", suddenly became very tangible and relevant today. This morning at 05:52 a.m., a small fire broke out in the Cultural Hall. The fire was quickly extinguished by the fire department but resulting in extensive water damage. We thank God that no one was injured and that we will still be able to come together online in life groups and church service on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. - as always.
Our senior pastor, Jarle Tangstad, has terminated his furlough to focus on the situation. At this stage, we do not know the extent of the water damage. But we are in close dialogue with the insurance company and relevant authorities.
Although we are still working to get the full picture, we know that everything works together for the good for those who love God. Whether it's Corona, fire or water damage, God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Together, we can trust that God will turn this into an opportunity!
This church is built on God's miracles and a spirit of sacrifice. Now is the time for us to stand together again. Together in prayer, practical work and in bold generosity. On Sunday, more information will be provided at the church service about the damage in the Cultural Hall and the possibility of being part of a new phase of reconstructing the hall.
God bless you!
