THEME: "Appreciation": Be free
Sunday the 8th of December
Services starts at 11.00
Every Sunday at 11:00am in the Main Hall. We have our main service in Danish and English.
The service consists of a sermon, prayer, and musical worship. Thai and Spanish translations are available via headsets and a mobile app.
We also want our church community to be more than just a worship service. Therefore, everyone is invited to stay and have lunch together in the church Community Café, or café Kant after the service is over. On certain Sundays, there will also be special events and activities.
This Sunday, in a special way, we want to value the youth community Be Free. Be Free is a youth community in the North West, Musicon in Roskilde and Christiania! Be Free creates activities and community for young people from 15-25 years, through street sports, hip hop culture, events, board games and food.
It all started in 2013 at Musicon in Roskilde and today works with 100-200 young people on a weekly basis offering exciting workshops in breakdance, theater, self-defense, graffiti and more.
The work is led by Dina Lindgreen who is a teacher and has a diploma education in cultural dissemination for children and young people. In 2018, they started with street teams, workshops and events at Christiania on a weekly basis. From early 2019, they have also done outreach work on a weekly basis among young people in northwest of Copenhagen. Their philosophy is that it’s not just about what happens within working hours, but also that they are available when needed.
Be Free works from the point of view of Christian life and humanity and believes that every human being is truly unique and valuable. We all need to be loved as those we are without reservation.
