Summer Camp 2020 is canceled
It is with great pain and sadness that we must announce that this years Sommercamp in Mariager is canceled. Thus, there will be no Summer Camp in Week 29 of 2020, as we know it. The cancellation is a consequence of the government's announcement that all major events until August 2020 may not be held.
This year, from Saturday 11th July - Friday 17th July we will go to Mariager, Jutland for an inspiring week. This year the theme is “A Jesus imprint!”
It will be a time of fellowship, worship and teaching for the whole family. There are different tracks and programs for kids, teens and adults.
So what is Summer Camp?
It’s a week of camplife, where we live in camping units or tents in our own City Street “Copenhagen Street – Københavnergade”. Here, our kids can enjoy each others company all day and go to kids meetings together. Mum and dad can connect with others from church and enjoy the big gatherings in the main hall, with incredible teaching and awesome worship.
In the afternoons there's opportunities to join one or more seminars, especially if you understand Danish - you will find a wide range of topics. Or you can relax with family and friends, go on a tour in the beautiful surroundings, maybe go to the beach, ride the old steam train or go sailing on the Fjord. If you like sports, you can evenjoin our soccer-team.
Summer Camp is kids, young people, families, singles and seniors together. A camp of people from many cultures, big churches, small churches. We had over 5000 participants last year, of whom 1700 lived on the camp grounds.
It's a historic Camp – it has been going on for the last 62 years! Its roots are in the Pentecostal movement. And now it is one of the largest Christian Summer festivals in Denmark. We as a church are deeply involved, sending volunteers to help with the childrens, teen and the adult program.
Summercamp is in week 29, from July 13th - 19th which is in the middle of the school holiday.
