POX Debataften: Nyateisterne og C.S. Lewis

POX inviterer alle generationer til en foredrags- og debataften om nyateismen med udgangspunkt i C.S. Lewis' livsforløb. 

C. S. Lewis var en indædt ateistisk professor i litteratur, men gennem en længere proces endte han som én af de mest fremtrædende kristne forfattere og apologeter. Hans rejse indeholder mange overvejelser og argumenter, som er aktuelle i forhold til nyateismens forsøg på at finde gehør. 

Foredragsholder Thomas E. Woodward er forskningsprofessor ved Trinity College i Florida og forfatter til bl.a. "Doubts About Darwin". Han er desuden formand for "The C S Lewis Society US". Woodward er kendt for sine foredrag om tro, videnskab, skabelse og ateismen. 

Aftenen vil indeholde både foredrag, spørgetid og naturligvis kaffe og kage.

The New Atheists and C. S. Lewis

POX invites you to a lecture and discussion evening on “The New Atheism Seen through the Lens of C. S. Lewis Journey of Faith.

C. S. Lewis was a fiercely atheistic professor of literature, but through a longer process he ended up as one of the most prominent Christian writers and apologists . His journey includes many considerations and arguments that are relevant in relation to the new ateisms attempt to gain public ground..

Lecturer Thomas E. Woodward is research professor at Trinity College in Florida and author of several books among these " Doubts About Darwin ". He is also chairman of "The C S Lewis Society US". Woodward is known for his lectures on faith, science, intelligent design, and atheism . The evening will be both lectures, question time and of course coffee and cake.
