21 days of prayer

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”
John 15,16

As a church, we want to make a difference in our city. We want to be active citizens, that love our fellow citizens on Nørrebro and Nordvest.
Through these 21 days of prayer, we will partition God that He by His Holy Spirit will change the atmosphere in this part of Copenhagen, so Nørrebro and Nordvest may feel God’s prosperity and love. In John 1,1-5 it says that “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.” We shall pray and expect, that the Word, God’s power of love, will break the darkness in Nørrebro and Nordvest.

Prayer guide
You can find inspiration here of what you can read in the Bible and for prayer. There’s space for you to write your name and take notes. Be a part of all the gatherings in the church you like, so we can stand together as a church. You can also be inspired by the Prayer Guide in your personal devotion, and spiritually join in the life of the church in those days.

New initiative during the 21 of prayer: We will take prayer to the streets
We believe that through the power of the Holy Spirit, our prayer can break the power of evil. Fear, violence and racism shall be broken in the name of Jesus. “And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” John 1,5
Monday – Friday from 4.00 pm – 5.30 pm we will go out into the streets and pray. From 4.00 pm there will be teaching and introduction that will equip you to go out into the streets. The areas we will go into will be mapped, and we will go out two by two. You can also stay in the church and pray

Worship teaching and prayer
Monday – Friday from 7.00 pm – 8.30 pm: Worship, teaching and prayer. “Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord”. Ephesians 5,19.
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work”. 2 Timothy 3,16-17.
“Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full”. John 16,24.

Life groups
You and your life group are invited into the church to have life group one of the nights through the 21 days of prayer and be a part of the fellowship we share in teaching, prayer and worship. We would like to encourage you to adopt a street or area in Nørrebro/Nordvest, so you can pray and focus on your adopted area.

You can choose to fast during the 21 days of prayer. You can personally decide on the number of days you want to fast. Prayer and fasting go together. Without prayer fasting is meaningless. The combination of prayer and fasting is a strong biblical principal, that you can gain strength from partaking in.

Our motive must always be a longing to see the will of God come to fruition. Fasting spiritually prepares us to be open to God when we pray.
How to: You can fast in several different ways, and you can fast from certain things. It ca be a period where you give up all food, or certain foods. If you haven’t fasted before, we will suggest that you start out with fasting some hours or maybe just one day. Remember to drink plenty of water.
It can also be the Daniel’s Fast, taken from the Book of Daniel, where you only eat fruits and vegetables. It can be an alternative fast, where things that take up your time are cut out or not prioritized, and instead substituted with reading your Bible and prayer. This could for example be a fast from social media or TV.
